Ambedkar statue vandalised in Ratia

Hisar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly vandalised a statue of Dr B R Ambedkar at a park in Govt Girls Senior Secondary School complex in Ratia town of Fatehabad district on Saturday night.Fatehabad SP spokesperson said a case has been registered against unknown persons under section 196 (promoting enmity) of BNS.Locals alleged spectacles of Ambedakr's statue were removed and thrown to the ground and a nearby poster torn. Morning walkers noticed the damage on Sunday. People associated with the SC community gathered at the site and expressed anger over the repeated acts of vandalism. Prem Khokhar, president, Ambedkar Sabha, Ratia, said a similar incident took place on April 27. Khokhar said a meeting of community members was convened to decide the future course of action.
