2 youths held with 188g heroin in Mohali

Mohali: As part of an anti-drug drive, Mohali police arrested two youths and recovered 188g of heroin from their possession.The accused were identified as Jashanpreet Singh of Ferozepur and Sukhwinder Singh of Jalalabad.Police said a team from Phase-11 police station spotted the duo behaving suspiciously near a motorcycle close to bushes near Bawa White House, near Mohali railway station. On seeing the police, they attempted to flee but were caught after a brief chase.During the search, police recovered 132g heroin from Jashanpreet and 56g from Sukhwinder. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is underway.
