Rs 10k reward on husband’s arrest, six teams formed to nab him

Bhopal: Six police teams have been formed to nab husband of the 31-year-old Noida woman, who died allegedly by suicide at her in-laws’ home in Katara Hills locality on the night on May 12. The DCP Zone-2 on Monday announced a reward of Rs 10000 for his arrest.

ACP Rajneesh Kashyap said that after the post-mortem, the family members of the deceased woman refused to take the body, maintaining that they wanted another autopsy to be conducted at AIIMS, Delhi. They have handed over a letter to AIIMS regarding it. Police have also written a letter to AIIMS administration informing that the family members want another autopsy.

ACP Kashyap said that police have also written a letter to the passport office for suspension of the passport of the woman’s husband and issue an alert, so that he may not run away to any foreign country. Police teams are conducting raids to nab him and cyber teams are also involved to trace him. The case is being investigated as a top priority.

Being a newlywed woman’s death case, after registering inquest on May 13, police had registered an FIR against the mother-in-law, who’s a retired district judge, and her lawyer son on May 14. An SIT was formed to investigate the case.

He said that the FSL team had seized the ligature material (belt) from the spot. The investigating officer should have submitted the belt at the time of post-mortem at AIIMS, but he submitted it the next day of PM. Its report is awaited from AIIMS. The circumstances surrounding the delay in submission are being probed.
