Retd govt employee dies by suicide

Bhopal: A 67-year-old retired employee died allegedly by suicide at his residence in Piplani on Tuesday night. No suicide note was recovered from the spot, but preliminary inquiries revealed that he argued with family members shortly before the incident.According to police, the deceased, Arun Parvatkar, a resident of Abhinav Campus on SOS Road, retired from a govt life insurance company. He returned home on Tuesday evening and got into a heated exchange with his family members. Afterwards, he went to his room. When his wife went to call him for dinner, she found the door locked from inside. On forcing the door open, Arun was found dead. Hearing the family's cries, neighbours rushed in and brought him down, but he already passed away.Police reached the spot upon receiving information, registered a case, and sent the body for post-mortem examination before handing it over to the family.
