Industry conclaves to go district-level after Shah praise: CM
Bhopal: The state govt will expand its industry outreach by taking sector-specific conclaves down to the district level, CM Mohan Yadav has said, citing praise from Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah for the state's regional industry conclave model.Speaking at the Vindhya Trade Fair in Satna on Saturday, he said the approach had already begun to show results, with a mining-focused conclave held earlier in Katni and an MSME conclave now planned for Satna.
"The state govt stands firmly with entrepreneurs at every step to ensure that MP becomes fully equipped with infrastructure, leads the race of development, and provides employment opportunities to the youth," the CM said.Yadav said Satna was a major center of trade and commerce in the Vindhya region, and announced that a new industrial park would be developed on 100 acres of land for industrial development in Satna. The CM said during the two-year tenure of the state govt, air connectivity in the Vindhya region has been enhanced. To promote religious tourism, helicopter services have been started. In the new year, citizens of the state will also receive the gift of govt bus services. He further said the govt has launched the "Rahveer Yojana" to assist victims of road accidents. "Anyone who helps by taking an injured person to the hospital will receive an incentive of Rs 25,000 from the govt."Yadav said the state govt has set a target to nearly double the state budget to approximately Rs 7 lakh crore over the next five years. Employment opportunities are being provided to youth, and they are also being encouraged toward self-employment. The state govt has made provisions for a 30% subsidy in the hotel industry.Besides, he said industries that generate employment are being given assistance of Rs 5,000 per worker toward wages. In the state, 3.2 million farmers are being provided solar pumps at a 90% subsidy. He said farmers were being freed from electricity bills and temporary connections. "On a pump costing Rs 60,000, farmers are receiving a subsidy of Rs 53,000. Overall, the state govt is providing subsidies amounting to Rs 30,000 crore."
