Holi assault & abduction: 2 held

Two absconding habitual offenders were arrested in connection with a case of attempted murder and abduction of a 17-year-old boy on Holi. The accused were carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 each on their arrest. Police said the accused tried to evade arrest by taking the injured victim to a hospital, attempting to portray the incident as an accident. A case was later registered under sections of abduction, attempt to murder and the SC/ST Act. The accused were held on Tuesday. TNN
