Bhopal: Three people died after separate road accidents across the city on Thursday and Friday.
In the first case, a 45-year-old woman died after a truck allegedly hit the motorcycle she was riding on with her husband near the Bag Sewania police station traffic signal on Thursday evening around 4 pm.
The deceased was identified as Ishrat Jahan, 45, a native of Badi Bareli in Raisen district. She came to Bhopal with her husband to visit a relative in the old city.
In another incident, a 32-year-old outsourced employee of the electricity department died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Runaha Jod, a short distance from a petrol pump in Nazirabad on Thursday night around 11 pm.
According to police, the deceased, Rajesh Gaur, 32, a resident of Kotra village, was returning home after duty when the accident occurred.
An unidentified vehicle, suspected to be a car, collided with his motorcycle. In the third case, a 24-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after battling for nearly a week following a hit-and-run accident near Sukhi Sewania.
Police said the deceased was identified as Sher Singh, 24, a native of Sehore district. He was working and residing at a farmhouse inSukhi Sewania's Kalyanpur.
On March 19, Singh went to Raisen district for work. While returning, he was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Azim Premji University in Kalyanpur area.
