3 sent to jail for lewd remarks at woman

Bhopal: A local court on Thursday sentenced three middle-aged persons to 9 months of simple imprisonment each for making indecent gestures at a woman. The accused Anees, 42, Mukesh Singh, 37 and Kalyan Singh, 44, were charged under section 509 of the IPC.
Assistant prosecution officer Manoj Tripathi, who argued the case on behalf of the prosecution, said that the complainant had lodged an FIR in the police station stating that Anees, who is an auto driver, stands in front of her house with his friends Mukesh and Kalyan Singh and speak in an indecent language about her and makes obscene gestures.On April 18, 2014, they were spotted doing this by her mother-in-law, who tried to stop them, but they started abusing her and threatened to kill her. tnn
