24-yr-old woman dies by suicide
Bhopal: A 24-year-old woman residing in the Kolar area died allegedly by suicide at her home. No suicide note was recovered from the deceased. However, preliminary investigation revealed that the woman was under depression as she remained childless even after four years of marriage. Police suspect this could be the reason behind the extreme step. A case has been registered and the body has been sent for postmortem examination.
According to police, Durga Ahirwar, wife of Akash Ahirwar, was originally a resident of Nateran in Vidisha district. She was living with her husband in a rented house near Banjari Trisection on Kolar Road and worked at a private school. Her husband Akash does private work.
On Sunday evening, Durga allegedly hanged herself at home. The incident came to light when her husband returned home at night. After receiving information, police reached the spot, registered a case, and sent the body for post-mortem.
During the search of the room, no suicide note was found. Preliminary inquiry revealed that Durga got married around four years ago but had no children. Police also recovered medical prescriptions related to her treatment for infertility. Police said the exact reason behind the incident would be clear only after recording statements of family members.
