Happy Streets marks finale in Nandini Layout
Bengaluru: Residents gathered for the third and final edition of Happy Streets in Nandini Layout Sunday, with music, art and games marking the morning. The stretch of 3rd Cross near Oxford Secondary School also saw Mother's Day-themed performances, including skits, songs and dance segments centred on maternal love.A Times of India initiative presented by Bhima Jewellers, the event began with a meditation session by Heartfulness, followed by yoga and pranayama led by Sarvebhavanthu Sukhinah Yoga. Zumba sessions by Swingers Dance Inc set the pace, followed by a Dollu Kunita folk performance. The Bhima mannequin challenge, lucky draw and photobooth drew steady participation.QShala's My India Quest quiz card game saw children lining up to test their general knowledge. At the Reclaim Constitution stall, visitors printed copies of the Kannada version of the Preamble. Children also queued up for instant caricature sketches.Sunil Koshy of From Mug to Mic performed Kannada songs from the 1990s and early 2000s, with several in the audience joining in.Wellness and activity-based stalls added variety. NeeRav Arts demonstrated the use of mudgar, a traditional fitness tool, while Prashree Art hosted mandala art and sound healing sessions. NS Kumbar Art Academy promoted the Chitrakar International Art Competition, and Falun Dafa practitioners introduced their practice to visitors.Quadz Fitness organised interactive challenges, including push-up contests, while young participants from Aryan Martial Arts showcased karate skills. Music and dance performances by Mic & Melody and World Music Conservatory, along with dance groups such as Jagan Jagz's Dance Studio, Twister Dance and Fitness Academy, Mac Studios and Trilochana Dance and Fitness Studio, continued through the morning.
