Couples enjoy mid-week break

It wasn't a hurried Wednesday morning for techie Priyanka Thapa. She had a leisurely bite with her husband at the breakfast table.
"My bus didn't come and my employer gave me the liberty to work from home. Otherwise, I start my day at 5.30am, and hurriedly make breakfast and lunch, and leave breakfast on the table for my husband. This was for the first time since marriage that on a weekday, we had breakfast together," said Priyanka.
Newlyweds Priyanka and Himanshu Thapa stay in Koramangala. "My husband has promised to return early and we plan to cook a good dinner for our relatives," she added. She spent the entire day cleaning up her house and making the desserts her husband loves.
Shyamala K had a happy break with her husband too. "I had some work but my wife wanted me to stay home so I worked for some hours in the morning. Then we went shopping and had lunch at a restaurant. In the evening, I cooked for her and we watched a movie at home," said techie Praveen K, Shyamala's husband. They stay in Vijaynagar.
Banker Proma Dutta started out in the morning, but didn't get a bus. "I asked an auto driver, but he demanded a big sum so I decided to go back. Coincidentally, it's my birthday today and a welcome holiday. I ordered food and had a great lunch with friends who also couldn't go to work. I'm planning to make dinner for a small get-together," she said.
