BENGALURU: Central Crime Branch sleuths arrested a 35-year-old man on Wednesday for allegedly supplying dummy pistols that looked like real firearms.
Police seized from Tabrez Pasha, a resident of Suddaguntepalya, 30 pistols and sent them to ballistic experts for examination. Preliminary probe revealed Pasha had supplied the pistols to those organising film shootings and would also sell them to the public.

Police said anti-social elements could easily use the dummy pistols to commit offences and even extort money from people. "We are questioning Pasha to know the source of the weapons and whom he sold them to," a police officer said.
