Bengaluru: Nine persons were arrested for allegedly selling ganja in three cases and 78kg of the drug seized from them.
Three were nabbed by Banaswadi police on Sunday evening at Janakiram Layout. Around 20kg of ganja was recovered from Kamarulla Islam, 27, Sahid Mia, 40, and Kurshid Mia, 22, all from Tripura.
Ramamurthynagar police arrested two persons and seized 15kg of ganja from them.
The accused are Asif Sheikh, 30, and Shivaraj R, 26, residents of Ullahalli Gate near Begur. Three mobiles which they used to contact their customers were also seized.
In the third case, a gang of four was nabbed by Upparpet police and 44kg of ganja seized. Police said the main accused, Allabaksh, along with three aides, used to transport ganja in an auto and sell it. TNN
