Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A massive influx of devotees from various parts of Maharashtra and neighbouring states is being witnessed at the renowned Mangirbaba Yatra at Shendra near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The annual religious gathering, concluding on April 11, sees devotees observing traditional rituals, including the tossing of revdis — a customary sweet — while offering prayers at the Mangirbaba temple.
According to temple trustee Suresh Naikwade, more than three lakh devotees have visited the temple within the first two days. "We have made special arrangements for drinking water and sheds for devotees. Additional measures have been implemented to ensure effective crowd management and prevent any untoward incidents," he said.
Mangirbaba is a revered saint and deity of the Matang community. His temple at Shendra hosts the annual fair during the Marathi month of Chaitra, drawing lakhs of devotees every year.
