Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Rural police bring criminal tracking app
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Rural police have launched a cutting-edge application allowing detection teams and investigation officers to access detailed records of criminals with just a click.The app, named MOB App, derives its name from modus operandi branch (MOB), which is a special branch in every police unit, and specialises in recording and analysing modus operandi of criminals on police records. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar range's special inspector general of police Virendra Mishra launched the app on Friday.The application, conceptualised by IGP Mishra, was developed under Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar rural superintendent of police Dr Vinaykumar Rathod, who collaborated with the Devgiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies for its technical development.Mishra said, "Investigating officers can now instantly retrieve data matching the nature of a crime, saving crucial time that was earlier spent on manual data gathering."
