St Joseph's kids take the cake in ICSE results

Allahabad: The results of class 10 and 12 exams conducted by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISE) were declared on Friday.

Many students have done their schools proud. St. Joseph's College took the top spot with its students Priyadarshi Singh and Yashasvi Raj topping class X in the city. They both scored 97.80 % each. The overall second spot also went to the school with Mohd Osama securing 97.6%. Kanishk Johri was ranked third with 96.20 %.

Principal Rev Fr Rolfie D'Souza said, "Sixteen other students in top 10 merit list have secured 100 in Computer Applications while Yashasvi Raj and Mohd Osama secured 100 in Maths." The pass percentage of school is 99.58 %.

Among class 12 students, Kushlam Srivastava topped with 97 % marks. Om Gupta secured the second spot with 96 % and Abhinav Gupta was ranked third with 95.75 %.

In commerce stream, Mohammad Umar bagged the first spot with 87.75 %, Anvitarth Tripathi secured the second position with 87.25 % and Abhisharth Verma was third with 84.75 % marks.

The overall pass percentage was 97 %.

Girls of St Mary's Convent also did well. In the class 12 science stream, Anindita Gujrati bagged the first position in the school by securing 97 % marks, Anushka Jaiswal was second with 96.75 % while the third position was shared by three girls: Astha Kushwaha, Prashasti Dwivedi and Shatashi Shukla. They secured 95.5% marks each.

In the commerce section, Urja Raheja bagged 97.5% marks, Aarti Gupta and Palak Kumar shared the second spot with 95% marks while Pragya Tiwari was third with 94.25% marks. In class 10, Priyanshi Singh bagged the first position with 96.40% marks, Snigdha Tiwari was second with 96.20% marks and three students, Aishwarya Hajela, Additi Pandey and Shivangi Shukla, shared the third spot with each securing 95.40%.

Boys' High School (BHS) and College achieved 99% results in both ICSE and ISC examinations. Naman Agarwal with 96.6% topped the list of successful candidates in class 10 of school. The second position was bagged by Varenya Srivastava with 96.2 % and Pratyaksh Kapoor with 96 % bagged the third position.

Principal DA Luke said, "The noteable feature of this year's ICSE results was that 19 students shared the top 10 positions with more than 94 per cent marks."

In ISC science stream, the top honours went to Shobhit Agrawal with 97 % marks. Close on his heels was Kshitij Gupta with 96.8 % marks. Saurabh Kumar Tripathi with 95.3 % marks came third. In the ISC commerce stream, Abhay Agrawal topped the list with 92.5 % marks while Ved Chanduka with 86.3 % marks was placed second. The third place was shared between Aditya Bhargava and Himanshu Agarwal with 84.5 % marks.
