Prayagraj: A joint team of Kareli police, the SOG (city unit) and the surveillance cell on Saturday arrested two men allegedly involved in a burglary case and recovered stolen property, cash and motorcycles used in the crime.
The accused — Hasan (22) of Shams Nagar, Kareli, and Kamran Ahmad (24) of Kherwa Asrawal— were arrested from the railway underbridge area.
Police said a yellow metal ingot, Rs 90,000 in cash and two motorcycles were recovered from their possession.
The arrests are linked to a burglary at the locked house of Arun Kumar Mehrotra in GTB Nagar, Kareli. The accused were identified and traced through investigation and surveillance inputs, police added.
