Gujarat score innings win over Chandigarh

Ahmedabad: Gujarat thrashed Chandigarh by an innings and 87 runs on the fourth and final day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group D match here on Friday.
Resuming at the overnight score of 46 for 2 and trailing by 246 runs, Chandigarh was bowled out for 205 in 75.3 overs.
Jagjit Singh Sandhu, Chandigarh’s number 10 batter, was their highest scorer with 46.
Left-arm spinner Hardik Patel was the best bowler for Gujarat, picking up four for 66. Siddharth Desai also claimed four wickets.
Earlier, Gujarat piled up 596 for 4 declared, riding on captain Priyank Panchal's superb double century after Chandigarh had made 304 in the first innings. PTI
