Family duped of 2.70L by travel agents

Ahmedabad: A 31-year-old man from the Chandkheda area of the city on Saturday filed a complaint against four travel agents who duped the complainant and his family members of Rs 2.70 lakh in garb of providing them ten-year membership with various freebies in a tour package during a seminar held at a hotel in Usmanpura in March.
Dhaval Tank, a resident of Sharan Sapphire in Chandkheda, said that he had received a call from a representative of a tour firm and was told to participate in a seminar at hotel Fortune Landmark in Usmanpura.
Later, when Tank and his family wanted to go on holidays all the representatives went incommunicado. Recently, the four representatives — Shivam Nigam, Sonu Mishra, Naveen Rathod and Deepak Rai — were held by Gorakhpur police in Uttar Pradesh with similar cheating cases.
