Ahmedabad: Thieves steal cash, jewellery from parked car
Ahmedabad: Unidentified men allegedly stole cash and jewellery with a total value of Rs 3.2 lakh from a parked car near a cafe on the SP Ring Road in Chandkheda, prompting a police complaint. According to the FIR, the complainant, a 37-year-old pharmaceutical company employee from Satellite, had visited the cafe with his family on the night of May 24. Around 9pm, he had parked his car on the service road outside the cafe.
When the family returned to the vehicle around 10.15pm, they found that a window on the driver’s side had been smashed. A grey handbag belonging to the complainant’s wife, which had been left inside the car, was missing. It contained a gold mangalsutra, two gold rings, a gold chain, a pendant and earring set, a pair of silver anklets and Rs 2,000 cash. After initially submitting an application at Chandkheda police station, he lodged a formal complaint.
