Ahmedabad: NMC sets May 30 deadline for colleges’ annual disclosure reports
Ahmedabad: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all medical colleges to submit their annual disclosure reports for the academic year 2026-27 by May 30. The report is mandatory for obtaining permission for new medical colleges as well as renewal of approval for existing MBBS courses.
With the NEET examination expected to be conducted again in the coming days for medical admissions, the NMC has initiated the approval and renewal process for medical institutions across the country. According to the notification, all existing colleges holding a Letter of Permission (LoP) to run MBBS courses must submit the required annual report under the Medical Education Regulations.
The NMC clarified that submission of the report is compulsory for institutions seeking approval for MBBS seats for the 2026-27 academic year. Colleges that have not registered with the Aadhaar-based biometric attendance system will not be able to access the NMC portal for the submission process. Institutions have also been instructed to ensure that all data uploaded on the portal is accurate and consistent with records shared with various NMC boards.
The commission warned that once the application is submitted, no corrections or modifications will be allowed. It also stated that the NMC reserves the right to publicly disclose the submitted information whenever required. Colleges applying for undergraduate medical seat permissions must also pay the prescribed fee online along with the application.
