5 minor girls flee Vrindavan shelter home; 2 traced
Agra: Five minor girls, aged between 14 and 17, fled a govt-run shelter home in Mathura's Vrindavan on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, prompting a police search operation. Two of the girls have since been traced and efforts are underway to locate the rest.The shelter home is located in Chaitanya Vihar Colony under Vrindavan police station. Shelter superintendent Gayatri Mishra alerted the police early Tuesday. Mathura SSP Shlok Kumar also visited the facility and sought a detailed report.

Police teams scanned CCTV footage and questioned local residents. An FIR has been registered under BNS Section 137 (kidnapping) on a complaint from the social welfare department.SSP Kumar said multiple teams have been formed to trace the missing girls, and assured that strict action would be taken against those found negligent.
