In Tripura's Udaipur, a woman named Purnima Das was publicly tortured, accused of an extramarital affair. A mob, allegedly instigated by BJP leaders, tied her up, forcibly cut her hair, and mocked her. The incident, filmed by onlookers, sparked outrage, but police have reportedly targeted the victim's relatives instead of the instigators.
In Tripura's Khowai district, tensions flared as two individuals were apprehended following an attack on BJP workers engrossed in Prime Minister Modi's Mann Ki Baat broadcast. Chief Minister Manik Saha has condemned the violence, allegedly perpetrated by Tipra Motha Party supporters, which resulted in injuries to several BJP members and damage to vehicles.
