Govt officer campaigned for BJP, violated MCC, alleges Tripura Cong
Agartala: The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Friday wrote to the Election Commission (EC) of India demanding urgent action against a booth level officer (BLO) for allegedly campaigning for BJP. TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha, who is a candidate for the INDIA bloc from West Parliamentary seat, has claimed that Prasanta Singha Roy, a BLO of booth no. 36 under the Banamalipur constituency, violated the model code of conduct (MCC). “Roy, a govt employee, has been actively involved in political campaigning for BJP, contravening the MCC guidelines that mandate neutrality for officials during elections,” Saha said.Meanwhile, West Tripura SP P K Kiran Kumar on Friday suspended an SPO jawan Suman Hussain after found him attending a political rally, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.We also published the following articles recently
