MUMBAI: MSEDCL has secured first place in the ranking determined by the Union ministry of power, scoring 93 out of 100 points.
REC and Power Foundation of India determined the ranking of power companies on behalf of the ministry of power and prepared a report ‘Rating Regulatory Performance of States and Union Territories’.
MSEDCL managing director Lokesh Chandra said, "Maharashtra is ranked first among the states and union territories of Western India with a total score of 93 out of 100 and the state has received A rating. Maharashtra is followed by Madhya Pradesh (84.5 points), Goa (74 points), Dadra, Nagar Haveli and Diu and Daman (74 points), Gujarat (67 points) and Chhattisgarh (52 points)."
