Arab and Muslim leaders gathered in Doha following Israel’s airstrike targeting Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital. During the summit, the leaders reportedly adopted a joint statement condemning the attack and calling for urgent measures to stop Israel’s military actions in Gaza. The draft statement, seen by AFP but not officially released, urged all states to review and reconsider their ties with Israel. It also called for legal proceedings against Israel over its actions against Palestinians. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders announced plans to hold a defense meeting in Doha to assess and activate joint defense mechanisms in response to the attack on their soil.
