BENGALURU: State-run defence electronics major Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) reported a 16.1% rise in revenue from operations for the financial year 2025-26, driven by steady execution of defence contracts and a strong order pipeline.The defence PSU said it posted revenue from operations of Rs 27,479.6 crore during FY26, compared to Rs 23,658 crore in the previous financial year, according to figures released by the defence PSU on Wednesday.BEL also recorded growth in profitability during the year. Profit before tax (PBT) stood at Rs 8,075 crore, up 13.9% from Rs 7,090 crore in FY25. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 14.4% to Rs 6,048.5 crore from Rs 5,288.2 crore in the previous year.The company’s fourth quarter performance also showed growth across key financial indicators. Revenue from operations during the Jan-March quarter rose to Rs 10,177.2 crore from Rs 9,119.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.Quarterly PBT increased marginally to Rs 2,903.8 crore from Rs 2,847.6 crore, while PAT rose to Rs 2,203.2 crore compared to Rs 2,104.8 crore recorded in the same period a year earlier.BEL said its order book position as on April 1, 2026 stood at Rs 73,882 crore, reflecting a strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming defence projects.The company is among India’s key defence electronics manufacturers and supplies radar systems, communication equipment, electronic warfare systems and other strategic technologies to the armed forces.Ready to Make a Smarter Property Decision?
