Auto India has updated the Skoda Kodiaq for the 2026 model year The overall design and mechanical setup remain unchanged, while the revisions are aimed at enhancing the ownership experience. Interested customers can register their interest by visiting their nearest Skoda dealership. When launched, it will continue its rivalry with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Tayron R-Line, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and upcoming MG Majestor. The 2026 Skoda Kodiaq is offered in three variants - Lounge, Sportline and Selection L&K. The updated model is expected to carry a price increase of up to Rs. 70,000 over its predecessor, with its launch likely to take place later this month. The MG Majestor too is offered in three variants - Sharp 4x4, Savvy 4x2 and Savvy 4x4. Interested customers can pre-book the Majestor online or by visiting their nearest MG dealership by paying Rs 41,000. It’s expected to be priced from around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MG Majestor is offered in a single 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel with 215 hp of power, which comes paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV gets a 4x4 system with an all-terrain management software which MG calls M-Hub, which offers up to 10 selectable terrain and drive modes. It also gets a crawl mode called the M-Crawl function, and three differential locks. It also has a maximum water-wading capacity of up to 810 mm for the SUV. The SUV offers up to 10 off-road modes, with automatic on-the-fly switching between 2H and 4H drive settings.
The Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with 190 PS of power and 320 nm torque. It comes paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels.

The Kodiaq measures 4759 mm in length, 1864 mm in width, and 1679 mm in height and has wheelbase of 2791 mm. The MG Majestor measures 5,046mm in length, 2,016mm in width, 1,870mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,950mm. Compared to the Skoda Kodiaq, the MG Majestor is 287mm longer, 152mm wider, 191mm taller and has a 159mm longer wheelbase.

Safety equipment includes Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning with prevention and blind-spot monitoring. Standard safety features also include electronic stability control, hill-hold and hill-descent control, ISOFIX mounts, a surround-view camera system and six airbags.
