2026 Kia Seltos vs Hyundai Creta vs Tata Sierra: Price, variants, engine options compared

Kia India finally announced the prices of the new 2026 Kia Seltos. The second-gen Seltos brings an all-new design outside, a new interior layout with tons of new-age features, and is also based on the new K3 platform. Bookings for the new Seltos are already underway, with a booking amount of Rs 25,000. Interested customers can book online or visit their nearest dealership. The prices for the SUV start from Rs 10.99 lakh and go up to Rs 19.99 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Compared to the outgoing model, the next-generation Seltos is priced just Rs 20,000 higher, a premium that appears justified given its refreshed design, added features, and overall improvements.

Comparing variants first, the 2026 Kia Seltos is offered with Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line trims. The Tech Line forms the core of the lineup with variants such as HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK (O), HTX, and HTX (A). Sitting above them, the GT Line is offered in GTX and GTX (A) versions and adds a richer equipment list along with sportier styling cues. The X-Line package, characterised by its darker, more aggressive aesthetic, remains exclusive to the GT Line trims.

The new Sierra is offered in seven variants, namely - Smart Plus, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Adventure Plus, Accomplished, and Accomplished Plus. The Hyundai Creta is offered in E, EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, SX(O), and King edition.

The prices for the 2026 Kia Seltos start from Rs 10.99 lakh for the entry-level HTE NA petrol and go up to Rs 19.99 lakh for the turbo diesel with AT gearbox. The Hyundai Creta is priced between Rs 10.7 lakh and Rs 20.2 lakh (ex-showroom). Talking about the Sierra, prices range from Rs 11.49 lakh to Rs 21.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

At the entry level, the 2026 Kia Seltos, priced at Rs 10.99 lakh, is Rs 29,000 more expensive than the Hyundai Creta (Rs 10.7 lakh) but Rs 50,000 cheaper than the Tata Sierra (Rs 11.49 lakh). At the top end, the Seltos, capped at Rs 19.99 lakh, undercuts the Creta by Rs 21,000 and is significantly more affordable than the Sierra, which costs Rs 1.30 lakh more at Rs 21.29 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

In terms of powertrain options, the new Sierra is offered with three engine options - a 1.5-litre Kryotec turbo diesel with 118 hp of power and 280 nm torque. Another two engines are the newly developed 1.5-litre NA petrol with 106 hp power and 145 nm torque, and a 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo petrol engine with 160 hp power and 260 nm torque. Tata Motors also confirmed that the company will soon launch the AWD model.

The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos get the same set of engine options, which include a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with 160hp of power and 260 Nm of torque.
