  After RCB skipper Rajat Patidar opted to bowl first on a surface with visible cracks and uneven bounce, Bhuvneshwar exploited the conditions brilliantly to leave Mumbai reeling inside the Power-play. The veteran seamer struck in the very first over when Ryan Rickelton miscued an attempted lofted drive to mid-off, setting the tone for a disciplined opening burst.
  
  Mumbai briefly counterattacked through Rohit Sharma, who took on Josh Hazlewood with two sixes and a boundary in an 18-run second over. Rohit looked intent on disrupting RCB’s lengths, but Bhuvneshwar responded with experience and variation.
  
  A clever knuckleball induced a thick edge from Rohit for 22, before Suryakumar Yadav’s much-anticipated return lasted just one ball as he edged to Virat Kohli at first slip. From 22/1, MI suddenly slipped to 28/3, with Bhuvneshwar narrowly missing out on a hat-trick.
  
  On a tricky batting surface where stroke-making never appeared straightforward, Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir steadied the innings with a valuable rebuilding partnership. The pair rotated strike smartly through the middle overs while punishing the occasional loose delivery. Tilak looked assured against spin, especially while taking on Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma, while Naman used the pace of the ball effectively, square of the wicket.
  
  RCB’s fielding, however, briefly let Mumbai off the hook. Tilak survived a regulation chance at mid-wicket when Suyash Sharma failed to hold onto a top edge, and a misfield from Romario Shepherd handed away another boundary. The missed opportunities allowed MI to gradually regain momentum.
  
  Naman, who mixed innovation with controlled aggression, appeared set for a half-century before Rasikh Salam Dar produced a crucial breakthrough in the 13th over. The pacer deceived him with a skiddy back-of-a-length delivery that crashed into the stumps, ending a fighting 47 off 32 balls.
  
  Tilak continued to anchor the innings from the other end and brought up a well-crafted fifty with a late cut off Rasikh. He accelerated effectively in the death overs, including a towering slog sweep against Suyash and a straight boundary off Bhuvneshwar, but his dismissal in the 18th over proved a major turning point. Attempting a scoop against Bhuvneshwar, Tilak dragged the ball back onto his stumps for a 42-ball 57.
  
  Bhuvneshwar finished with outstanding figures of 4-23, becoming only the second bowler after Harshal Patel to register six three-wicket hauls in a single IPL season. RCB also closed the innings strongly through Hazlewood and Rasikh, restricting Mumbai to just 31 runs in the final five overs.
  
  Given the challenging nature of the Raipur surface, though, Mumbai will still believe their total could prove competitive.

  Iran War News: The Strait of Hormuz crisis intensified after Iran rejected a US-backed draft resolution at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), calling it “flawed” and “politically motivated”. Tehran said the proposal would not solve the ongoing conflict in West Asia and instead accused Washington of attempting to legitimise unlawful actions through the UN.
  
  In its statement, Iran maintained that the only solution to the crisis was ending the war, lifting the maritime blockade on Iranian ports and restoring normal movement through the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian mission also appealed to UN member states to reject the draft resolution and avoid supporting it.
  
  The proposed resolution was introduced by the United States along with Gulf allies including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar. It aims to defend freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial global energy corridor through which a large share of the world’s oil supply passes. The United States has accused Iran of attacks on commercial vessels, laying sea mines and threatening maritime traffic.
  
  The crisis has further deepened regional instability. Reports of missile and drone strikes, attacks on ships and tensions involving Israel have heightened fears of a wider conflict in the Gulf. The Israeli military also reported sirens in northern Israel following a suspected aerial infiltration.
  
  Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned against any military action, claiming that attempts by former US President Donald Trump to weaken Tehran had failed. At the same time, diplomatic channels remain active, with mediators reportedly working on a possible agreement between Washington and Tehran.
  
  The continuing tensions have had major global economic consequences, including rising oil prices and increased shipping costs. With the Strait of Hormuz remaining at the centre of the crisis, concerns continue to grow over global trade disruptions and regional security as international diplomatic efforts intensify.

On the last day of the campaign, he blew a whistle (his party symbol) and offered a quid pro quo: "Give me one thing I ask - your vote - and I will give you all you ask for five years."
  
  In a major political development, Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazagam (AMMK) on Friday extended its support to All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu, while urging the Governor to invite the party to form the government.
  
  In a letter addressed to the Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran wrote that the party supports AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palanisami's claim to form the government. He urged the Governor to invite EPS to form the government and "be sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state."
  
  AMMK secured only 1 seat in the assembly elections. Dhinakaran, in the letter, said that MLA-elect Kamaraj S, supports the party stance.
  
  "I, TTV Dhinakaran, General Secretary of Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazagam hereby extend my full support to the claim of Thiru. Edappadi K.Palaniswami to form the new Government of the State of Tamil Nadu. Our Party Candidate Mr.Kamaraj.S who contested in Mannargudi Constituency (167) have been elected as MLA of the Constituency. Mr.Kamaraj.S MLA of Mannargudi Constituency (167) have also signed this Letter in support of the above claim.   Mohammed Shami came to bowl the next over, and Patel hit him for another six and completed his half-century with a single on the last delivery of the over.
  
  Patel dedicated his record fifty to his father. During the celebration, he took out a piece of paper from his pocket, which had a note, "This is for you, Papa" written on it.
  
  Patel joined Yashasvi Jaiswal for the record of the fastest IPL fifty in just 13 balls.
  
  Shahbaz Ahmed got rid of Patel in the ninth over at the score of 65 runs. He played just 23 balls and hit eight sixes and a couple of fours.
  
  Gaikwad kept holding the fort from one end, and runs kept flowing for the CSK. He departed in the 13th over after making a crucial 42 off 28 balls.
  
  39 runs were needed in the last five overs, and Rathi bowled a crucial 16th over, conceding just four runs and dismissed Dewald Brevis.
  
  Avesh Khan got rid of Akshat Raghuwanshi (18 off 18 balls) on the very first delivery of the next over. He conceded just five runs in the over, and Prince Yadav leaked nine runs in the next over, which left the CSK needing 21 runs in the last two overs.
  
  Prashant Veer hit a six in Avesh's next over to collect 11 runs from the over, which left LSG to defend 10 runs in the final over.
