'Smart mind behind it': Melania Trump credits Barron for husband's successful Presidential campaign
In a surprising twist, Melania Trump, the First Lady, shared that her 19-year-old son Barron has taken a keen interest in the political landscape, especially during this election season. His notable contribution? Collaborating with influencers on platforms like YouTube and popular podcasts to enhance campaign outreach.
In a recent appearance on Fox News' 'The Five', First Lady of the United States of America, Melania Trump raved about her 19-year-old son Barron, sharing how he has become more involved with politics as compared to during the first term. Sharing how the second term is "very different" from the first one, Trump revealed on Wednesday, that her son has shown more interest in White House affairs this time around.

“He understands now. He’s involved. He knows what’s going on in the world,” she said of the sophomore studying at New York University's Stern School of Business. She revealed how Barron talks with "his dad, with me. He is very involved in the campaign." She also credited him for having guided his father on the ideas for which YouTubers and podcasts he should talk to for the promotion of his campaign. “He gave him all of the ideas who he needs to talk to — all of these YouTubers and, you know, podcasts. So he was really a smart mind behind it,” she said. The First Lady has been notoriously private about her only son and his role in the American media and politics. Recently, photos of Barron standing near Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago's dining area surfaced online and enraged Melania.
As per gossip columnist Rob Shuter, “Melania made it very clear that Barron’s privacy is non-negotiable.” He also reported on the Naughty But Nice Substack account that anyone caught filming or taking pictures of him "would face immediate, including potential banning from the club." While the FLOTUS may have been missing in action during Trump's first term, she has surely amped up her media appearances during the second one, even if just to promote her upcoming $75 million documentary. Her movie 'MELANIA' will premiere on January 30, 2026, at the Trump-Kennedy Center in Washington along with being released in 1,500 theatres on Friday. Licensed, marketed and released by Amazon MGM Studios, it also has billionaire Jeff Bezos' $40 million spent for acquisition and $30 million for marketing.
