2. All-time peak viewers

Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos currently owns the record for the highest live viewership. His event, La Velada del Año V, drew more than 5.1 million concurrent viewers. That number surpassed his own previous record of 3.8 million from La Velada del Año IV

3. All-time peak channels by game

Fortnite continues to dominate Twitch to an unprecedented level, with many users dedicated to streaming the popular game. In late 2023, 146,976 channels streamed Fortnite at the same time. In comparison, the game averages around 6,000 active channels in December 2025.

4. Top game by peak viewers

League of Legends remains unmatched when it comes to esports viewership on the platform. During the World Championship Grand Final between T1 and DRX in 2022, the game surpassed 3.1 million concurrent viewers across Twitch. This set a historic record for a single game category.

5. Most followed streamer

Kai Cenat also leads Twitch in total followers in addition to the aforementioned milestone. He overtook Ibai (who now has 19.8 million followers) live on stream during Mafiathon 3 and celebrated the milestone in real time. As of now, Cenat has 20.1 million followers

6. Most followed VTuber

VTubers continue to grow in popularity on the platform. The most-followed VTuber on Twitch currently is NimuVT (now retired), with 2.5 million followers. Ironmouse previously held the all-time subscription record, showing how virtual creators are now adding to the evolution of Twitch culture.

7. Twitch Hype Train record

Most recently, in January 2026, popular AI VTuber Neuro-Sama achieved a new Hype Train record by gaining 262,793 subscribers during a single train. The achievement further showcases AI-driven creators creating a huge wave on the platform.
