Kim Young Chul's health update: Star opens up about struggles to gain weight amid recovery journey

Popular South Korean entertainer Kim Young-chul has revealed his recent health struggles, including difficulties gaining weight after a paralytic intestinal obstruction. In a vlog, he shared being stuck at 76 kg, previously over 81 kg. Young-chul also disclosed a diagnosis of eustachian tube dysfunction, triggered after popping a balloon, with doctors advising weight gain for relief.

Kim Young-chul, a popular TV entertainer, comedian, and singer, recently opened up about his struggles with health and weight loss.In a vlog, posted on his channel, Young Chul shared that he has been suffering from weight loss. Citing how he has been stuck at 76 kg, when at one point in time he used to be more than 81. His earlier hospitalisation due to paralytic intestinal obstruction also played a major role in this weight loss, and prompted him to halt all activities to rest and recover.Young Chul talks about getting diagnosed with a new conditionIn the video, the star also revealed that he has been suffering from another condition that occurred after he popped a balloon and had to get himself checked. He shared, "Three months ago, after blowing up a balloon, I developed a ringing sensation in my ear. It wasn't benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or tinnitus. I was diagnosed with eustachian tube dysfunction at a high-level hospital”.He also added that the doctors told him that one of the ways to relieve the symptoms of this condition is through gaining weight; however, that has been proving to be a hard feat for him these days due to other underlying conditions.
He also expressed how important an individual’s health is on top of everything, and that he had once made a wish after having to cancel his schedules, saying how “health is the best”. To end things on a light note, while talking about not gaining weight, the singer joked about having an amazing jawline.
