NEW DELHI: The creativity bug has surely bitten our police departments. Armed with humour, the social media cell of
Meghalaya Police
has taken on Shillong drug peddlers who are fooling their clients by selling them powdered fruit drink instead of contraband.
“If you just got ‘Rasna Ripped’ off by your drug peddler, you know where to report. Kudos to ANTF (The Anti Narcotic Task Force) team!” they tweeted. The mike-drop moment was shared along with an image of 3 small pouches that were probably filled with the
Rasna
powder.

Twitter tripping in no time
This witty tweet comes close at the heels of a similar post by Assam Police, who had asked people to come forward and claim the 590 kilograms that they had 'lost'. Guwahati Police's twitter handle had also asked their followers "the most popular place to buy ganja" in the city.
Earlier this July, Meghalaya Police had tweeted an adorable picture of the K-9 police dogs team to spread “Pawsitivity” on our timelines. In August, the Twitter handle of the police department of Meghalaya had a funny take on the news of having found two World War II era bombs.
