BJP's Suvendu Adhikari Rejects TMC Claims, Says Bengal Violence Not Like 2021

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has rejected TMC’s allegations of widespread post-poll violence in West Bengal, claiming the situation is far less severe than in 2021. Citing inputs from the state police, he said only 50-60 minor complaints have been received and fewer than 100 FIRs registered. Adhikari contrasted this with 2021, when over one lakh people were allegedly displaced and hundreds of safehouses were set up. While asserting that he does not support violence, he maintained that BJP has no need for such actions given its strong electoral performance. Watch
