North East India Festival in Vietnam celebrates northeastern art, culture

As part of the 3rd edition of the North East India Festival, cultural programmes and exhibitions celebrating northeastern art and culture and featuring a variety of products from the North Eastern states of India was held in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday evening. The 3-day-long North East India Festival, which began on October 27 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam opened a new door of tourism, investment, and people-to-people connectivity to Vietnam and other South East Asian countries from North East India. The North East India Festival in Ho Chi Minh City aims to strengthen ties between India and Vietnam in the fields of academics, trade, business, and culture. Apart from strengthening their bilateral relationship, both India and Vietnam are now focusing on increasing trade and investment in both countries and in recent years it has shown good results. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian government has been working on it and under Act East Policy the government is trying to connect the North East Indian region with the South East Asian countries including Vietnam. The 3rd edition of the North East India Festival received a gala welcome by the local people of Vietnam.
