Mamata offers to resign as West Bengal CM, party rejects resignation

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has offered to resign as the Chief Minister. According to her, she offered a resignation but the TMC refused to accept it. The offer comes just a few hours after Rahul Gandhi offered to resign as the Congress president and was rejected by the CWC. The offer was given at a meeting with top TMC leaders after the party’s disappointing performance at the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
