IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar reached the cloudburst-affected areas near Amarnath cave on July 09. While briefing on the rescue operation he said, “Police, NDRF, SDRF, CAPF and security forces are engaged in the rescue work. So far 15 bodies have been retrieved. 35 people were injured who have been rescued by helicopter service. We will clear the debris by evening and retrieve bodies if found.”
