Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling India’s foreign policy “personal” and a “universal joke.” Gandhi alleged that the Prime Minister’s decisions are influenced by US President Donald Trump, claiming that if the Prime Minister is compromised, so is the country’s foreign policy. He also highlighted rising LPG and fuel prices, warning the government not to underestimate the economic impact, comparing it to the Covid pandemic. The remarks underscore growing opposition concerns over India’s diplomatic direction, economic management, and energy security amid global uncertainties.
