Dehradun: Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai submits final UCC report to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami

Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Committee Chairperson Justice (Retd.) Ranjana Prakash Desai along with other members handed over the UCC final report to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a programme organised at Mukhya Sevak Sadan on February 02. The state government will move forward to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state by bringing a Bill to the Assembly Session on February 5. “While making a promise to the people of the state in the 2022 assembly elections, we had constituted the UCC Committee, taking a pledge to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state. The 5-member drafting committee has made a draft for the UCC. Two sub-committees were also made,” said CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
