‘What Were You Thinking?’ Russia Hits Out At Vance After Failed Talks With Iran

Russia is pushing back against the United States’ approach to Iran negotiations, arguing that the failure of the latest round of talks reflects unrealistic expectations rather than a breakdown in diplomacy. Mikhail Ulyanov, Moscow’s representative to international organisations in Vienna, questioned whether JD Vance genuinely expected a deal to be reached within hours, after nearly 21 hours of discussions in Islamabad ended without agreement.
