Republican presidential candidate Mike Pence on Saturday called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to justify the "unprecedented" federal indictment of former President Donald Trump. Speaking at a convention in Greensboro, North Carolina, Pence, a former vice president to Trump, condemned the "politicization" of the Justice Department. His appearance in North Carolina marked the first shared venue with his ex-boss since he announced his own presidential campaign this past week.
