At the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, Russia reiterated its stance on the Ukraine conflict, stressing that no country’s security should come at the expense of another. President Vladimir Putin blamed Western efforts to pull Kyiv into NATO as a major trigger of the crisis, urging dialogue instead of confrontation. Highlighting the SCO’s growing clout, Russian president called for building a new Eurasian security framework to replace “outdated Eurocentric and Euro-Atlantic models.”
