A leading home-sharing platform reported robust performance in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking its strongest Gross Booking Value (GBV) growth in more than two years. The company also recorded an acceleration in nights booked and overall revenue, signalling renewed momentum across key markets.
Airbnb Co-Founder and CEO Brian Chesky said: “In Q4, we delivered our strongest GBV growth in more than two years, alongside acceleration in nights and revenue. We’ve strengthened the core business, improved how we innovate, and are scaling new businesses and AI with discipline. That momentum is building, and we expect growth to accelerate in 2026.”
The company witnessed particularly strong results in Brazil and Japan during the quarter. India emerged as one of its fastest-growing countries on an origin basis, with nights booked rising 50 per cent year-on-year. The surge reflects a growing appetite for alternative stays and flexible travel options among Indian travellers.
First-time bookings also increased at double-digit rates across Brazil, Japan and India. In India alone, first-time bookers rose by more than 60 per cent, highlighting the platform’s expanding reach and appeal among new users.
Amanpreet Singh Bajaj, Airbnb’s Country Head for India and Southeast Asia, said, “We’re seeing strong momentum in India and more new travelers choosing Airbnb. Looking ahead to 2026, we will continue building on this momentum by bringing the benefits of our platform to deliver meaningful value for hosts and guests across India.”
With steady global demand and growth across emerging markets, the company expects this upward trajectory to continue into 2026.
