Iran claims it has shot down a "hostile" drone near the strategically crucial Qeshm Island overlooking the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported that air defense units intercepted and destroyed what was described as an "American-Zionist" drone, though the identity of the aircraft remains unconfirmed. Alleged footage circulating online appears to show drone wreckage washing ashore on Qeshm's coastline, fueling speculation about intensified aerial operations over one of the world's most sensitive maritime chokepoints. The incident comes just days after Tehran claimed it downed another hostile drone in the same region using its newly unveiled Arash-e Kamangir interceptor system.
