U.S. President Donald Trump brought humor and headlines to the campaign trail after revealing a surprising detail about his signature rally routine — it doesn’t always have the approval of First Lady Melania Trump. Speaking to supporters in The Villages, Trump shared that Melania has often urged him to tone down his now-famous dance to Y.M.C.A., calling it “not presidential.” But Trump brushed off the criticism with trademark confidence, joking that while it may not look presidential, it’s clearly working — pointing to strong poll numbers. Moments later, he launched into the very dance routine, drawing cheers and laughter from the crowd. Interestingly, Melania has previously offered a more balanced take — saying she enjoys the dance “at certain times,” but believes it’s not always appropriate, even as she acknowledges that people around the world find it fun and uplifting.
