Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims it has uncovered and dealt with a large number of unexploded weapons left behind after recent airstrikes, including powerful U.S.-made bunker-buster bombs. According to the statement, four GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators—30,000-pound bombs designed to destroy deeply buried targets—were discovered in Iran’s Zanjan province during post-conflict clearance operations. Three were reportedly destroyed on-site, while one was defused and transferred for further handling. The IRGC also says its forces neutralized more than 9,500 bomblets scattered across the region, along with various missiles and rockets that failed to detonate after being fired from advanced fighter jets, including F-15, F-16, and F-35 aircraft. In addition, 52 rockets were destroyed and several others secured for analysis. Two cruise missiles, including a GBU-39 type, were also recovered after being intercepted by air defense systems.
