Kerala chief minister-designate V D Satheesan announced the list of ministers who will be sworn in as part of his new cabinet during Monday’s oath-taking ceremony. Senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunny Joseph and K Muraleedharan are among the prominent names included in the ministry. Satheesan also named Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan as the Speaker of the Kerala Assembly, while Shanimol Usman will serve as Deputy Speaker. The Congress-led alliance’s key ally, the Indian Union Muslim League, has finalised five leaders for ministerial positions in the new government. The announcement comes ahead of the formal swearing-in ceremony following the alliance’s victory in the Kerala assembly elections, with the new cabinet set to officially assume office on Monday.
