Sparking controversy, US President Trump called it a “great day” for George Floyd, during a televised White House briefing. George Floyd’s death sparked nationwide protests against racial discrimination and police brutality against African-Americans. His remarks unleashed a flurry of questions as to why Trump thought it was a great day for Floyd. In the same speech, Trump specifically called for Governors to “dominate the streets”.
