Unrelenting storms continue to wreak havoc in California's Bay Area. High wind blew a portion of the roof off an apartment building in the city of South San Francisco, leaving several families scrambling to salvage belongings as rain continued to pour through ceilings. Jose Alvarez and his family of six spent the day replacing buckets on beds that quickly fill with water, while also removing clothes and valuables and placing them in their van. They say the city has given them a hotel to stay at temporarily, but they say they've otherwise been left to fend for themselves. Meanwhile, wind gusts over 70 miles per hour have also blown hundreds of trees down throughout the Bay Area.
